Position Summary:

The Shuttle Operator is responsible for transporting distribution personnel from security checkpoints to designated work areas for one of the leading package handling companies globally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain professional communication with clients, guests, and team members at all times.
  • Operate a designated shuttle bus along a specified route.
  • Ensure the safe transportation, loading, and unloading of passengers.
  • Foster effective communication and relationships with passengers, coworkers, and management.
  • Adhere to all safety, security, and compliance standards set by the company and regulatory authorities.

Core Duties:

  • Provide daily transportation services, including loading and unloading passengers at designated locations.
  • Safely assist passengers with special needs, utilizing appropriate equipment.
  • Help passengers with their luggage as required.
  • Conduct regular vehicle inspections to identify maintenance needs and ensure cleanliness.
  • Assist patrons at various locations as needed.
  • Document any pre-existing vehicle damage using electronic or manual records.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and providing directions.
  • Manage traffic and coordinate towing services when necessary.
  • Implement and uphold the bus evacuation plan as needed.
  • Report any incidents or claims to the Operations Manager or Shift Lead promptly.
  • Refuel and maintain shuttle equipment, keeping accurate fuel logs.
  • Ensure a clean working environment, disinfecting the shuttle after each use.
  • Maintain safe driving qualifications and meet physical and dexterity standards.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must hold a valid commercial driver's license, Class A or B CDL.
