Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Windows Server Administrator to join our team at Leidos. As a key member of our IT infrastructure team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise to support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and ensuring the smooth operation of our National Airspace System (NAS) systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement automation and scripting solutions to streamline server management
  • Monitor and maintain servers to ensure optimal performance and availability
  • Administer Windows domains and Active Directory to ensure secure and efficient access to resources
  • Track user account creation, changes, and deletions to maintain accurate inventory
  • Manage software licenses and inventory to ensure compliance with agency standards
  • Utilize WSUS to ensure timely software updates and patches
  • Manage IIS and DNS to ensure secure and reliable web services
  • Administer PostgreSQL databases to ensure data integrity and security
  • Develop and implement maintenance procedures, standard operating procedures, and security baselines to ensure compliance with agency standards
  • Install, configure, and maintain various types of hardware and software to ensure optimal performance and availability
  • Provide analytical and technical security recommendations to team members, oversight organizations, and stakeholders to help specify security requirements
  • Provide risk analysis for vulnerabilities, incidents, and change requests to ensure informed decision-making
  • Recommending security enhancements to improve overall system security and compliance
  • Providing recommendations related to the design, development, and integration of automated software and hardware solutions to improve system efficiency and effectiveness
  • Providing first line support for any information technology issues and problems for NAS systems to ensure timely resolution
  • Participating in all phases of risk management assessments for information systems to ensure informed decision-making
  • Managing interconnections with other NAS systems to ensure seamless integration and communication
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in Windows and SQL Server Administration, with additional years of experience substitutable for education
  • MCSE or MCSA certification a plus
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance, with a US citizenship or Green Card Holder with 3+ years of residency in the US
