Job Title: Windows Server Administrator

About the Role:

Leidos is seeking a skilled Windows Server Administrator to support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in the implementation of hardware and software modifications and maintenance of new and existing operational systems. The ideal candidate will provide technical expertise to the Beacon & Terminal Surveillance Team, supporting Second Level Engineering and ensuring the National Airspace System (NAS) systems are secure and functioning optimally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain Windows Server infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot server issues, providing timely resolutions to minimize downtime.
  • Manage Active Directory, user accounts, and permissions, ensuring secure access to systems and data.
  • Develop and implement maintenance procedures, standard operating procedures, and security baselines to ensure compliance with agency ISS standards and policies.
  • Collaborate with the team to design, develop, and integrate automated software and hardware solutions to improve system efficiency and security.
  • Provide analytical and technical security recommendations to stakeholders to help specify security requirements and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Participate in risk management assessments for information systems, identifying and mitigating potential security threats.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in Windows and SQL Server Administration, with additional years of experience substitutable for education.
  • MCSE or MCSA certification preferred.
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance, with US citizenship or a Green Card Holder who has resided in the US for the past 3 years.
