Job Title: Windows Admin

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Windows Admin to join our team at Centraprise. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining the operating system and hardware on Windows-based servers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows-based servers, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Maintain and sustain highly automated server OS patching processes, ensuring compliance with established standards and policies.
  • Participate in follow-the-sun support for global infrastructure servers, providing 24/7 coverage and ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Develop and promote standard operating procedures, ensuring consistency and efficiency across the team.
  • Conduct audits of servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
  • Be available to perform tasks outside normal business hours and on weekends, as well as participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation.
Requirements:
  • 5 years' experience with Windows/Unix operating systems, with direct experience in diagnostics, troubleshooting, and problem-solving for hardware, software, and OS.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) and Active Directory, Group Policy, and Client.
  • Understanding of scripting technologies such as PowerShell, Python, Bash/Korn, and other scripting languages.
  • Experience with AWS/Azure/VMware Cloud platforms and monitoring tools and requirements for servers.
  • Basic knowledge of network theory, design, and architecture, as well as familiarity with one automation tool such as Ansible, Chef, VMware Aria, Runbooks, ServiceNow, etc.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, as well as a High School Diploma/GED.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or other IT/IS-related major.
  • Ability to work effectively across time zones and geography, with a strong understanding of WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, WINS, and remote support concepts and tools.
  • Operations experience, with a self-starter mentality and ability to lift 50lbs.
