Job Summary

Leidos is seeking a skilled Windows Server Administrator to support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in the implementation of hardware and software modifications and maintenance of new and existing operational systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Expertise
    • Provide technical support to the Beacon & Terminal Surveillance Team
    • Support Second Level Engineering with automation and scripting
  • Server Administration
    • Monitor and maintain servers
    • Manage Windows Domain Administration, including Active Directory Administration
    • Track user account creation, changes, and deletions
    • Maintain inventory of all equipment, software, and software licenses
    • Utilize WSUS
    • Manage IIS and DNS
  • Database Management
    • Manage PostgreSQL databases
  • Network Configuration
    • Maintain and update network configurations
  • Security and Compliance
    • Evaluate proposed software and Windows configuration functional and non-functional requirements for impact to existing information systems
    • Develop and implement maintenance procedures, standard operating procedures, and security baselines
    • Install, configure, and maintain various types of hardware and software
    • Provide support to ensure assigned NAS systems comply with agency ISS standards and policies
    • Provide analytical and technical security recommendations to other team members, oversight organizations, and stakeholders
    • Provide risk analysis for vulnerabilities, incidents, and change requests
    • Recommending security enhancements
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Provide first line support for any information technology issues and problems for NAS systems
    • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders for implementation projects and requirements gathering
  • Qualifications
    • 8 plus years of experience in Windows and SQL Server Administration
    • MCSE or MCSA certification
    • Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
