Kaiser Permanente is in search of a Ultrasound Technologist Level I to join our team. This position is based in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Position Overview

The Ultrasound Technologist Level I will operate advanced ultrasound machinery to conduct various diagnostic imaging procedures, including abdominal and obstetric/gynecological examinations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnostic Imaging: Strive to enhance the turnaround time for diagnostic imaging reports for outpatients, focusing on improving workflow and inter-departmental communication.
  • Service Excellence: Aim to meet established standards for telephone response times and improve overall patient service experiences.
  • Efficiency: Participate in initiatives to reduce non-payroll expenses and promote cost-effective practices within the department.
  • Patient Interaction: Maintain a professional demeanor, addressing patient needs and concerns with compassion and respect.
  • Operational Knowledge: Understand and execute the operational functions of the department, including scheduling and reception duties.
  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrate competence in using diagnostic ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality images, adhering to infection control protocols.
  • Clinical Judgment: Exercise sound clinical judgment, consulting with physicians as necessary to ensure patient safety and accurate imaging.
  • Documentation: Accurately document clinical activities and patient histories in a timely manner.
  • Professional Standards: Uphold organizational policies and maintain a high standard of professional behavior in all interactions.
QualificationsBasic Requirements:
  • Minimum of one year of experience as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in a healthcare setting.
  • Graduate from an accredited ultrasound program with current certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Two years of experience in a major medical facility.
  • Familiarity with specific ultrasound equipment and reporting software.
