Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Ultrasound Specialist to join our team at Memorial Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic ultrasound procedures, including interventional ultrasound and sonographic vascular exams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures on outpatients and inpatients, including general, IMC, and ICU patients.
  • Conduct ultrasound procedures in surgical environments and perform transcranial Doppler exams.
  • Maintain technical skills relating to imaging factors and ensure proper infection control practices.
  • Monitor equipment and supplies to ensure safe and efficient operations of the department.
  • Ensure proper recording and transmission of patient information.
  • Comply with department procedures regarding employee/patient incident reports.
  • Participate in continuing education and meet requirements for all mandatory inservices.
Requirements
  • Completion of an approved ultrasound program.
  • Licensure/Certification/Registry: Licensed by ARDMS or ARRT as either a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer and/or as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT).
  • BLS CPR certification.
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in diagnostic ultrasound, with extensive experience with ultrasound equipment.
Working Conditions

This is a weekend shift position, which comes with enhanced pay. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and provide guidance to Level I Sonographers. They will also be responsible for coordinating daily patient flow within the department.
