Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and customer specifications.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain quality metrics and reports to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on quality procedures and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Industrial/manufacturing leadership experience or equivalent.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and respond quickly to changing priorities.
  • Desire to learn quickly and take on higher levels of responsibility.
  • High degree of professionalism and integrity, with a strong commitment to accountability.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree or certification in a relevant field.
  • Prior experience working in a wood products or other process-based manufacturing company.
  • Proficiency with database, project management, and process improvement tools.
  • Knowledge of basic statistical analysis methodologies, including hypothesis testing and regression analysis.

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to work in outdoor environments and occasionally in temperatures above 100 degrees and below 32 degrees.
  • Willingness to work in a hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environment.
  • Ability to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and/or pulling for up to twelve hours a day.
  • Ability to work around moving equipment and machinery.
  • Ability to pull and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and federal, state, and local standards.
