Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated IT Service Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to support our team members by providing technical assistance and troubleshooting computer software and hardware issues. Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair computer software and hardware issues, including desktops, laptops, telephones, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Manage internal requests for IT support issues or enhancements by prioritizing issues, communicating status to affected parties, and updating Help Desk trouble tickets.
  • Inventory, configure, install, maintain, repair, upgrade, secure, and dispose of team member personal computing devices.
  • Interact with technical support team members from external organizations to troubleshoot and repair hardware, software, and telecommunications systems.
  • Escalate server, network, compatibility, and design issues to the appropriate team member.
  • Work with other team members to complete projects such as WiFi upgrades, video surveillance system installations, server and networking upgrades, and telephone system upgrades.
  • Limited network administration duties, including resetting passwords, unlocking accounts, setting file permissions, updating and rebooting servers, and server configuration and maintenance responsibilities.
  • Create and update documentation and asset/license tracking systems.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of professional experience in an IT support role or an Associate's degree in a relevant field.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with Windows-based PCs and laptops.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and the ability and willingness to learn new software applications.
  • Familiarity with network communication and protocols, printers, phone systems, and other related hardware.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, install, and upgrade hardware and software.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, as well as the ability to adapt to change.
  • Ability to sit for approximately 90% of the time working on a personal computer, kneel, and crawl under desks, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Willingness and ability to be on-call and available for scheduled, after-hours maintenance events (approximately 3 times per quarter).
