Job Title: Controls Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Controls Engineer to join our team at Purcell International Group. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing, assembling, integrating, testing, operating, troubleshooting, and commissioning PLC-based control systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and modify new and existing process control and instrumentation systems
  • Manage capital projects related to automation and controls infrastructure
  • Provide plant leadership for manufacturing and distribution in technical and administrative aspects related to PLC's, microprocessors, automation, instrumentation, etc.
  • Promote active leadership in the implementation of plant-wide lean manufacturing efforts and TPS, integrating lean manufacturing disciplines in the engineering department
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution
Requirements:
  • 5-7 years of progressive engineering experience in a high-volume, multiple SKU, fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Proven knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and Underwriter Laboratories (UL) standards, Allen Bradley Controls, AC and motor controls, and process sensors of all types
  • Ability to interpret, red-line, and prepare detailed control and instrumentation schematics, ladder logic diagrams, wiring schematics, and PID's/PFD's
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing principles, including Six Sigma, 5S, TPS, etc.
