Job Title: Automation Systems Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Automation Systems Engineer to join our team at Booz Allen Hamilton. As an Automation Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, operating, and maintaining mission systems in support of software delivery and automation systems using PowerShell and other Windows programming languages.

You will work with a collaborative, cross-functional team to develop and maintain complex systems, and your ability to translate real-world needs into technical specifications will be essential to delivering a customer-focused engineering solution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and make minor changes to existing applications or keep those systems working in a sustainment mode within an Agile environment
  • Develop and test interfaces between software products and products of other vendors
  • Manage group policies, Windows Registry, and network settings, activating windows licenses, and automating these processes using PowerShell
  • Lead design and code reviews and address findings within a collaborative, cross-functional team
  • Develop and test modules and components for compliance to design specifications
Requirements:
  • 1+ years of experience maintaining and making minor changes to existing applications or keeping those systems working in a sustainment mode within an Agile environment
  • 1+ years of experience with legacy Windows-based enterprise IT systems
  • 1+ years of experience developing PowerShell Scripts
  • Experience with fundamental programming concepts, including functions, loops, classes, modules, or recursion
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or CS
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Java, Python, C#, C/C++,.NET, JavaScript, React, Angular, NodeJS, or PHP
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
  • Experience with Microsoft products such as Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Windows Server, or Microsoft SQL Server
  • Knowledge of DevOps, continuous integration, and continuous deployment
  • Knowledge of shell scripting and automation
  • Knowledge of relational database management systems (RDMSs), NoSQL, columnar, and graph data stores, and structured and unstructured data formats

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.

The projected compensation range for this position is $60,300.00 to $137, annualized USD.

The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
