**Job Details**
**Essential Functions of the Position:**
Ensure patient satisfaction by providing excellent patient services. Addresses patients with a compassionate, friendly and caring attitude.
Rooms patients, accurately collect and records patients' vital statistics, allergies, medications and concerns.
Prepares exam rooms, stocks and maintains supplies and equipment, keeping the rooms neat and clean.
Effectively assists with prescriptions and authorizing drug refill requests.
Triage messages, routes and relays information to staff, providers, and patients in a timely manner.
Maintains detailed notes in patients' electronic records.
Maintains a high level of confidentiality for patients in accordance to HIPAA standards.
Effectively maintains a professional demeanor with patients, staff, and physicians at all times.
Back up infusion room medical assistant duties including injections and venipuncture.
Draw blood for lab work
**Experience, Qualifications, Education:**
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Medical Assistant Certificate from an accredited education institution
Current CPR certification a plus
California Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) license is required
EMR software experience is a huge plus
Must comply with OSHA, HIPAA, and office policies and protocols.
Knowledge of computer/telephony support, preferably in a health care environment
Strong customer service background, preferably in health care environment
Excellent verbal communication skills
Competence with computer processing functions and other standard office equipment
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
Ability to calmly and professionally resolve customer issues with diplomacy and tact
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong organizational skills
