Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant I to join our team at Kedren Community Health Center Inc. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patient charts and update records in our electronic health record system
  • Maintain exam rooms according to infection control standards and ensure all necessary supplies are stocked
  • Provide initial medical screening, including taking vital signs and documenting medical history
  • Assist licensed providers with examinations and procedures, including administering immunizations and medications
  • Discharge patients and provide visit summaries, lab orders, and medication prescriptions

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program or Certified Medical Assistant preferred
  • Current, valid CPR certification
  • Familiarity with Community Health Clinics and electronic health record systems
  • Minimum 6 months to 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, non-profit setting highly desirable
