High-End Medical Support Specialist

This is a high-end paid membership clinic serving high-profile clientele. The highest level of professionalism and discretion is expected. This is a blended MA/PSR/Admin Assistant role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Order lunches and complete administrative assistant/executive assistant duties
  • Explain policies, procedures, or services to patients based on scope of practice
  • Set up exam/procedure rooms appropriate to the patient visit needs
  • Primary point of contact for patient relations in person and by phone
  • Greet patients and assist in resolving patient concerns and escalating as appropriate
  • Check patients in/out and collect co-payments, give receipts, and reconcile payments
  • Verify patient demographics and insurance information in CS-Link/Epic
  • Schedule appointments and complete patient registration
  • Clean and re-process equipment and supplies following department guidelines
  • Administer immunizations, injections, or oral medications as directed by provider
  • Draw and prepare designated lab work or specimens as directed by provider

Requirements:

  • Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma from a DAPIP accredited program OR national certification through AAMA, AMCA, AMT, CCBMA, or MMCI.
  • Experience with high-end sales, concierge customer service, or previous experience as an executive assistant
  • 2+ years of recent experience working in an outpatient clinic or medical office setting
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests, taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature, and reporting patient history summaries
  • Expertise with blood/lab draws and venipuncture
  • Ability to read, understand, and respond to detailed oral and written instructions
  • Strong conversational skills and comfortable with "small talk"

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with medical insurance, referral processes, and benefit plans
  • Experience working with C-Suite or high-profile clientele
  • Experience with CS-Link/Epic
  • Experience with Quest Diagnostic laboratory submissions
  • Phlebotomy certification strongly preferred
  • Understanding of medical terminology
