Job Description
The Human Resources Workforce Support Specialist will provide day-to-day HR support to employees and leaders, focusing on HR policies, procedures, and programs for specific US sites and functions.
Main Responsibilities
- Support employee relations and manager capabilities across sites, using observations and data to recommend strategies and initiatives for employee morale and engagement.
- Collaborate with other workforce support tiers to resolve employee inquiries and issues in a timely and comprehensive manner.
- Provide traditional support activities, such as promotions, investigations, corrective actions, PIPs, and restructuring, to employees and managers.
- Main point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries, complaints, and customer service.
- Liaise with HR workforce support leadership on policy reviews, improvements, training opportunities, and other matters.
- Support leaders in finding and utilizing resources for core processes, such as GPS, Performance Management, and Development.
- Coach employees and leaders on navigating key leadership processes, managing conflicts, and other areas.
- Build and maintain relationships and partnerships with assigned sites and groups.
- Master the digital toolset, particularly using ServiceNow to resolve regional employee relations issues and continually seeking ways to leverage technology for HR and employee experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- At least one to four years of related experience.
- Occasional travel to US manufacturing sites may be required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Thorough understanding of human resources and labor relations principles, practices, and procedures.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and cases, knowing when to seek support and escalate as needed.
- Ability to use digital case management and workflow management tools to complete core activities.
- Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with employees, leaders, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to compile, research, and analyze information.
- Ability to compose and present comprehensive reports.
Additional Information
Compliance with Company policies, including maintaining a drug-free workplace and all safety policies and procedures, is required.
Willingness to commute between Miamisburg, OH, and Columbus, OH, may be necessary.
