Job Summary:

The Armed Security Officer is a critical role at Ellis Medicine, responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all persons and property within our facilities. As a Security Professional, you will be the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and staff, providing a safe and secure environment for everyone.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patrol facilities to identify and mitigate potential security threats
  • Respond to emergency situations, including Code Silver/Active shooter events
  • Investigate and report security incidents, completing all necessary logs and paperwork
  • Operate security equipment, including CCTV surveillance systems and fire alarm systems
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and staff
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a safe and secure environment

Requirements:

  • Valid NYS Armed Security Guard License
  • 5 years Armed Security Guard experience or equivalent
  • Ability to pass a physical examination and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • OC Spray Training
  • Handcuff Training
  • BLS/CPR Certification
  • Belt Trauma Kit Certification
  • 16 Hour Security Academy
  • 16 Hour on Job Training
