Job Summary:

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate ICM Caseworker to join our team. As a key member of our refugee services team, you will play a critical role in addressing the complex needs of vulnerable refugee populations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct intake assessments and develop individualized service plans for clients, ensuring their needs are met and goals are achieved.
  • Provide case management services, including navigating healthcare and social service systems, assisting with benefits applications, and scheduling appointments.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local service providers, refugee coordinators, and health coordinators to ensure comprehensive support for clients.
  • Respond to client crises and provide emotional support, working closely with supervisors as needed.
  • Document all services provided in IRC's database, Efforts to Outcomes (ETO), and maintain accurate records.
  • Attend relevant trainings and meetings at the local and national level, staying up-to-date on best practices and industry developments.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, public health, or a related field of study.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of case management experience with similar populations and/or client needs.
  • Strong relationship building, diplomacy, and networking skills, with the ability to effectively communicate in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills, prioritization, and time management abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work product.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written; proficiency in languages spoken by client groups preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and digital tools for data entry, research, and problem-solving purposes.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a personal, insured vehicle.

Working Environment:

  • A combination of standard office environment and 'field' time within the service delivery area.
  • May require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
