We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Pain Clinic team at Trinity Health. As a Pain Management Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our team.
Key Responsibilities- Administer nursing care to patients, including preparation and evaluation of pain patients prior to procedures.
- Proficient in IV skills and able to collect and analyze data to assess patient needs.
- Review charts to ensure completeness in documentation and prepare for cases in an efficient manner.
- Communicate effectively with patients, staff, physicians, families, and other healthcare team members.
- Promote quality and service excellence in all aspects of patient care.
- Maintain knowledge of equipment setup, maintenance, and use.
- Initiate and direct room clean up and turnover.
- EKG interpretation and ongoing physiological assessment.
- Perform documentation in the EMR accurately, concisely, and in a timely manner.
- Identify patient/family educational needs and implement individualized measures to meet those.
- Supervise delegated tasks and duties.
- Participate in self-directed learning and continuing education to meet professional development needs.
- Possession of a current or compact state license as a registered nurse issued/defined by the State of Iowa.
- Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population served within three (3) months of hire.
- Basic Life Support certified within six (6) weeks of hire.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certified or obtained within six (6) months of hire.
