Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Design and deliver engaging and effective lessons that promote academic and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to student support.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to keep them informed of their child's progress.
  • Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices and research in special education to ensure that instruction is evidence-based and effective.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Special Education or related field.
  • Appropriate content/program area educator license (Teacher of Students with Moderate Disabilities) and grade level licensure from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
  • Experience working with students with moderate disabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
