Position Overview

In the role of EEDI Operations Manager, reporting directly to the Director of EEDI Commercial Operations, you will be pivotal in providing expertise and strategic guidance in Equity, Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EEDI) to HR and organizational leaders. Your responsibilities will encompass advising business executives and HR leaders on effective change management strategies, as well as facilitating initiatives that promote EEDI principles at the local level. As a thought leader, you will play a crucial role in applying EEDI concepts within the functional diversity council and leveraging data and business insights to formulate actionable recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with business leadership to define the functional EEDI vision and priorities, establishing aspirational goals and evaluating initiatives for transformation.
  • Act as an ambassador for the EEDI organization, showcasing the available services, support, and resources to the business while enhancing AbbVie's global reputation.
  • Collaborate with the HR leadership team to exemplify AbbVie Leadership Behaviors and cultivate an environment where every employee feels motivated to contribute their best efforts.
  • Design and implement innovative EEDI strategies that align with the overarching enterprise EEDI objectives.
  • Utilize data effectively to narrate a compelling story that drives change.
  • Promote representation metrics across functions and globally where applicable.
  • Transform external and internal trends into creative and innovative practices.
  • Work alongside EEDI Council leaders to empower them as champions and advocates for EEDI initiatives.
  • Influence and mobilize action at all organizational levels.
  • Partner with other Centers of Excellence to proactively aid in the development and implementation of global programs that address current and future EEDI needs.
  • Represent the EEDI enterprise team at internal speaking engagements, public panels, recruitment events, and conferences.
  • Facilitate focus groups and listening sessions to gather insights.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in diversity, equity, and inclusion or in a global enterprise role.
  • At least 7 years of HR, legal, or compliance experience managing sensitive information.
  • Extensive experience working with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience in mid-to-large global organizations within a complex work environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to fostering diversity and contributing to an inclusive workplace.
  • Proven ability to lead and implement large-scale initiatives successfully.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with a history of executing projects from inception to completion.
  • Ability to influence others without direct authority to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with interpersonal and presentation abilities to drive results.
