Position: Acute Residential Counselor for Adults
Department: Developmental Services

In this role, you will deliver comprehensive clinical assistance and therapeutic interventions within both residential environments and community settings for individuals facing cognitive and mental health challenges.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Initiating constructive activities that align with clients' Individual Support Agreements (treatment plans).
  • Implementing support and crisis strategies (utilizing Therapeutic Options training) in collaboration with the broader treatment team.
  • Facilitating community integration, daily living skills, and personal development.
  • Providing essential behavioral and mental health support.
  • Delivering necessary personal and medical care.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of three to four years of experience in human services or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates comparable knowledge and skills.
  • Flexibility to work either Saturday or Sunday.

Work Structure:
  • Varied schedules, including weekend and evening hours.
  • Travel within designated areas.
  • Union position.
  • Ability to work either Saturday or Sunday.
