About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Scientific Communications Manager to join our growing clinical affairs team within Abbott Heart Failure. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to contribute to the development and execution of evidence generation activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively engage cross-functional groups in designing and executing on the departmental podium and publication strategy.
  • Lead the development of improved work instructions and SOPs that improve clinical evidence dissemination efficiencies.
  • Design and manage multiple digital platforms to track and communicate clinical study progress.
  • Synthesize and disseminate literature across multiple products and/or therapies within the assigned therapeutic area.
  • Collaborate closely with external stakeholders including physician investigators and key opinion leaders on clinical and scientific evidence generation projects.
  • Contribute as an author on presentations, publications and/or regulatory submissions through coordination with clinical science, investigator authors and project management.
Requirements
  • Minimum requirements: A PhD in biomedical engineering, biological sciences, or related field. A MS in an equivalent field will be considered with additional experience.
  • 2+ years of medical device and/or pharmaceutical industry experience in a similar role.
  • Working knowledge of medical conference organization from an industry perspective.
  • Understanding of cardiovascular physiology is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in communication and organizational tools such as PowerBI and
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems independently.
  • Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Demonstrated skill and tactfulness in working as a cross-functional team member.
  • Well-organized and self-motivated with an ability to initiate and follow through on assignments.
