Medical Office Assistant

The Institute for Family Health is seeking a highly skilled Medical Office Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Office Assistant, you will play a vital role in the treatment and care of patients and their families, working under the supervision of an LPN/RN.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in the direct patient care team, supporting the health team in the treatment and care of patients and their families.
- Perform vital signs, including heights, weights, and head circumference measurements.
- Conduct electrocardiograms and assist with medical procedures as required.
- Maintain accurate patient charts, records, and clinic logs.
- Collect specimens and perform auditory and visual testing.
- Ensure examination rooms are clean and organized, and manage time and resources effectively.
- Meet regulatory, licensure, and annual health assessment requirements.
- Observe and ensure compliance with the Health Care System's policies.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Formal training in a program leading to certification as a Medical Assistant.
- Certificate from an accredited medical assistant school.
- Minimum of 1-year experience in a healthcare setting.
- Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills.
- Certification as a Phlebotomist or EKG technician preferred.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) and Infection Control certificates.
