We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Director to join our team at North Shore Healthcare. As a leader in post-acute care, we provide quality care to our residents and their families, and we are committed to delivering exceptional service to our patients and staff.

Job Summary

The Maintenance Director will be responsible for the overall maintenance of our center, including preventative maintenance and repairs. This role will ensure that our facilities are safe, attractive, and well-maintained, providing a positive experience for our residents, employees, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine tests and inspections on center systems, including emergency generators, sprinkler systems, door alarms, call light systems, hood/duct systems, and hot water systems.
  • Responsible for fire drills and initiating/updating fire and disaster preparedness plans.
  • Manage maintenance budget and ensure that all maintenance activities are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Supervise and train maintenance staff to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that maintenance activities are aligned with the overall goals and objectives of the organization.

Requirements

  • High School diploma (or equivalent) required.
  • At least 2 years of prior maintenance experience required.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Satisfactory driving record with no more than three (3) moving violations in the past three (3) years.
  • No record of Reckless Driving or DUI/DWI in the past seven (7) years.
  • Demonstrated competence in electricity, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, carpentry, plastering, and painting required.
  • Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and read, write, speak, and understand English required.
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft products required.
  • Able to work on-call required.
