POSITION SUMMARY:


The Program Manager for Asset Reliability and Maintenance Education oversees corporate-level program management, providing process direction and supporting initiatives related to technical education and development across the MFI network.


This position collaborates with various teams, including MFI Continuous Improvement Teams, MFI Asset Reliability Management Strategic & Tactical Teams, MFI Human Resources, and MFI Recruiting Teams, to create, implement, and maintain internal technical education and development programs.

Additionally, this role partners with Regional Reliability Specialists and Plant Maintenance groups to enhance the maintenance reliability journey through embedded knowledge.

This position may involve direct reports in the future.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee all aspects of the Asset Reliability & Maintenance Education & Development Program, including program design, execution, and evaluation.


Provide leadership and oversight in technical projects, mechanical maintenance initiatives, and skill development related to technical training both internally and externally. Assess technical skill gaps and lead projects to address these gaps, focusing on enhancing current technical employee skills or identifying external resources.

Work closely with the MFI Recruiting team to ensure quality candidates are efficiently matched with open technical positions.

Support MFI HR and ARM teams in developing and implementing a comprehensive Skill Tracks Program tailored to the needs of each facility.

Assist MFI HR teams in refining standardized technical job descriptions and ensuring competitive wage structures across regions and facilities.

Lead initiatives related to technical training funding through various grants or internal funding requests.

Foster relationships with Technical and Community Colleges to establish a technical talent pipeline into MFI facilities.

Support projects aimed at implementing improvements in technical education and development across Plant Operating Facilities, collaborating with the Continuous Improvement Director on new initiative solutions.

Provide leadership for the ARMED Program and Process as a core member of the Corporate Continuous Improvement Team.

Specify process methods and system enhancements in collaboration with the MFI ARM Strategic Team to automatically generate ARMED Performance Indicators, Key Performance Indicators, and financial results for all plants.

Enhance the MFI learning library for critical equipment by partnering with Original Equipment Manufacturers and Learning Management System vendors to develop training and assessment materials.


Qualifications:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:


A Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. At least 5 years of experience in maintenance management or supervisory roles, as well as corporate program integration project experience, is preferred. Experience in manufacturing is desirable. A minimum of 2 years of teaching or educational experience is also preferred. Familiarity with food processing and packaging equipment is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP is required. Travel is limited to 50% and typically involves 3-5 days per trip.
