Job Title: Education Sales Consultant

The Education Sales Consultant is a key business development role responsible for driving sales growth in the K-12 and higher education markets. This position works closely with districts to introduce SMART solutions and build strong relationships with key decision-makers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a territory plan to identify priority districts and strategies to achieve revenue targets
  • Introduce SMART products and solutions to districts, from concept phase to revenue recognition
  • Identify new funding sources within districts and introduce SMART to new contacts
  • Organize and host key events, including trade shows, executive visits, and channel trainings
  • Provide input into strategic consortiums, training centers, and Department of Education initiatives
Requirements:
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and a strong desire to work in a team environment
  • Strong working knowledge of SMART products and software, with the ability to learn new solutions
  • Confident presentation skills, with the ability to present to large groups
  • Strong education acumen or former teaching experience
  • High level of proficiency with technology and ability to learn new skills independently
Working Conditions:
  • Field-based position, working independently with guidance from the District Manager
  • Weekly 1-1 conversations and regular travel in the field
  • Ability to work from a home office and travel to Canada
  • Pass all district-level background checks to work in the K-12 environment
Education and Experience:
  • Degree in business, education, marketing, or a related field
  • Ideal experience as a former educator
  • At least two years of experience in education or sales for a fast-paced, technology-driven business
  • Experience working with educators and strong presentation skills
  • Proven ability to develop relationships with key decision-makers and analyze/solve problems
  • Ability to self-motivate and good time-management, record-keeping, and planning skills
