Sales Director, North America – Maritime Energy Storage
Echandia Marine LLC
Echandia is challenging the maritime industry with safer electrification. You can be a part of the expansion into North America at the ground level and help set up to be the leading supplier of maritime battery solutions.
Echandia's customers are global shipyards, shipowners, naval architects, and system integrators. We create close and strong relationships to secure our position as their preferred partner for energy storage. The Sales Director in North America will take the lead throughout the entire sales process and ensure the relationship remains strong long after the sale is complete. This position will be remote but based from our facility in Marysville, Washington. Domestic and International travel will be required and the ability to be a part of a global initiative is just one small part of the opportunity with Echandia North America.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze technical specifications
- Prepare complete and intriguing bids and proposals
- Source, compile and prepare supporting documentation
- Reach and surpass annual sales targets within designated customer accounts
- Cultivate and nurturing customer relationships, both current and future
- Generate and assess new leads, employing various strategies to acquire potential accounts
- Deploy a robust post-sales process to maintain strong customer engagement, anticipate and solve any post-delivery concerns
- Develop close and cooperative relationships with other internal stakeholders
- Monitor market trends and regularly provide competitor analysis and feedback to the Research and Development team as part of the product development process
- Maintain strong relationships in the industry
Requirements:
- Demonstrate outstanding interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence. Able to always look at the bigger picture, with focus on the customer.
- Persistent and persuasive mindset to own and drive initiatives.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while working on multiple projects.
- Strong technical background with a focus on detailed specification analysis and experience in preparing complex bids and proposals.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to understand and convey complex technical solutions in a simple manner.
- Strong computer skills - MS Office are an asset
- 7+ years experience in Technical Sales required
- At least two years of electrification or industrial experience or equivalent is preferable.
- Higher education and/or bachelor's degree in business administration or industrial engineering or related field is an asset.
- Own vehicle/reliable transportation required.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
