About the Role

MITRE is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Group Leader to join our Cost and Business Analytics Department. As a Group Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of professionals in delivering high-quality technical products and services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staff Development and Management: Provide leadership and guidance to a team of 6-9 direct reports, focusing on staff development, career growth, and performance management.
  • Technical Expertise: Oversee and facilitate the delivery of high-quality technical products and services, ensuring that they meet the needs of our customers.
  • Business Development: Develop and execute departmental technical and business goals, identifying new business opportunities and developing strategies to capture them.
  • Resource Planning: Support department leaders in resource planning, ensuring that the team has the necessary resources to deliver high-quality products and services.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate regularly with group members, ensuring their well-being, engagement, and job satisfaction. Collaborate with department leaders and other stakeholders to promote a culture of quality, excellence, and teamwork.
Requirements
  • Experience: Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 7 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 4 years' experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
  • Leadership Skills: Desire for personnel leadership/management roles, strong desire to work with people, and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Technical Expertise: Expertise in one or more capabilities, e.g., Cost Estimating & Analysis, Investment Economics & Decision Analysis, Strategic Business & Financial Analytics.
  • Clearance: Secret clearance required.
