Job Description

The estimated annual salary for this position is $65,000 - $80,000 depending on experience. As a Mechanical Project Coordinator, you will contribute to the success of our company by supporting Project Managers in planning, managing, and completing assigned projects. Your responsibilities will include managing day-to-day project activities, identifying and resolving issues promptly, and working closely with the project team to ensure timely completion within budget and according to contract requirements.

You will be responsible for coordinating complex MEP systems throughout the design process, BIM coordination, submittal, and construction of the project. Additionally, you will perform QAQC on MEP scopes to ensure compliance with client expectations and Contract Documents.

Your expertise will also be utilized in tasks such as preparing invoices, estimates, scheduling meetings, and keeping track of and reporting on project progress specific to MEP installations. You will assist in the preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly reports detailing the status of the project.

A key aspect of this role is soliciting and obtaining bids from subcontractors and material suppliers. You will also support efforts to expedite prompt processing of invoices and payment through to subcontractors for amounts due.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Science or Mechanical/Electrical/Civil Engineering
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in commercial construction industry, 3-5+ years is preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
  • Self-starter with a high degree of personal responsibility and integrity
  • Must be able to work in a field construction environment which includes walking in rough terrain
  • Ability to work in adverse weather conditions
  • Travel long distances, depending on assigned project(s) location
  • Ability to work more than 40 hours a week and weekend assignments
  • Detail oriented
