Position Overview:
The Engineering Co-op Program offers a compensated internship experience focused on Manufacturing Engineering. This program provides a structured rotation with opportunities to engage in significant projects within the medical device sector. Participants will receive a housing allowance, access to a retirement savings plan, fitness facilities, educational events, and opportunities for project presentations.

Each intern is paired with a dedicated mentor, ensuring hands-on experience with impactful assignments in the manufacturing field.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Interns may contribute to initiatives in various domains, including Equipment Utilization; Product Innovation; Manufacturing Assistance; New Technology Integration; Process Management; Validation Procedures; Product Engineering; Quality Assurance; and Project Management.

Support Functions:
Research and Technical Documentation

  • Generate engineering documentation and deliverables; Analyze and propose solutions to challenges encountered during production.
  • Interns will be guided by a mentor who offers insights into the organizational culture. Mentors are selected from the engineering team and are responsible for the professional development of their interns.
  • Comply with the Quality Management System and its protocols to adhere to regulatory standards.
  • Maintain all necessary training for the role while actively seeking opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Current enrollment in an accredited college or university, pursuing a degree in Engineering.
  • A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required.
  • Candidates should be in their Sophomore, Junior, or Senior year, or enrolled in a graduate program in Engineering.
  • Proof of enrollment in an accredited institution is mandatory for all applicants.

Physical Demands:

  • Work is conducted in a standard office environment.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and close visual focus on computer screens and equipment are necessary.
  • Experience in data collection and analysis, with the ability to articulate findings and recommendations in written form.
  • Occasional light lifting may be required during the internship.
  • Personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses and lab coats, may be necessary in certain work areas.
