Job Summary

The Manufacturing Engineer 1 plays a crucial role in planning, directing, and coordinating manufacturing processes for medical device products at Cook Group. This position requires a strong understanding of manufacturing operations and a passion for process improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Operations Managers and external vendors to develop efficient manufacturing methods and machines.
  • Work with Product Development Engineers to design and implement new product processes.
  • Partner with Operations, Accounting, and Global Product Managers to increase profit margins of underperforming products.
  • Train relevant personnel on new processes and document cost savings.
  • Develop and execute validation protocols to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Support the calibration department in writing and performing calibration procedures.
  • Verify and validate critical processes and products with Quality Assurance and Product Development teams.
  • Work with management to establish project timelines and justification.
  • Act as a resource for operational departments on materials, equipment, and process upgrades.
  • Maintain training requirements and seek opportunities for continuous development and growth.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
  • Preferred degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Production, or Manufacturing Engineering.
Work Environment

This role requires working in a general office environment with occasional standing, walking, and communication. The ability to sit for extended periods and utilize close visual acuity for working with computers and equipment is necessary.
