Beverage Director of Greek Culinary Excellence

Position OverviewWe are seeking a dynamic and experienced Beverage Director to oversee and enhance our beverage operations at Balos Estiatorio. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating memorable guest experiences, a deep knowledge of beverage trends, and strong leadership skills in a high-energy atmosphere.
The Beverage Director will be responsible for curating a unique beverage menu, developing partnerships with Greek wineries and distributors, and educating staff and guests about Greek history, beverages, and pairing options.
Key Responsibilities- Curate a unique beverage menu aligned with the brand's vision
- Develop partnerships with Greek wineries and distributors to source authentic products
- Continued education for staff and guests about Greek history, beverages, and pairing options
- Manage beverage inventory, including ordering, stocking, and maintaining cost controls
- Train and supervise bar staff, ensuring excellent service and adherence to company standards
- Monitor sales trends and implement strategies to increase revenue
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as liquor licensing laws
- Collaborate with marketing and events teams to create promotions and special events
- Conduct regular tastings and provide ongoing education for staff
- Manage daily operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Beverage Manager, Bar Manager, similar role, with a focus on Greek beverages
- Understanding of Greek cuisine
- In-depth knowledge of Greek wines, spirits, cocktail traditions, and current beverage trends
- Strong leadership and team-building skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Organizational abilities, familiarity with inventory management software and point-of-sale systems
- Certification in CMS, WSET, or equivalent.
- Strong spirit knowledge
- A warm, approachable demeanor and a genuine passion for hospitality
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations with poise and professionalism
$80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience
