Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support the Plant Manager and Assistant Plant Manager at our Chicago Assembly Plant. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining plant time and data management, handling travel arrangements, and coordinating various administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate records and schedules for the Plant Manager and Assistant Plant Manager
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and itineraries for the Plant Manager and other team members
  • Manage the lease car program for LL6+ employees, including titling and licensing
  • Coordinate plant conference room schedules and pool car program
  • Plan and coordinate special events at the plant
  • Represent the plant at community service events
  • Communicate with the workforce through plant-wide announcements
  • Support the Plant Manager in their role as culture change champion
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work different shifts in special circumstances
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of administrative experience in a unionized manufacturing facility
  • Illinois Notary Public certification
  • Demonstrated time management skills
