Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Cattle Payable Clerk to join our team in Green Bay. As a key member of our cattle procurement team, you will be responsible for processing payments for cattle, trucking, and commission, ensuring accurate and timely payment to vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process payments for cattle, trucking, and commission in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Interact with cattle procurement, barn, and kill floor personnel to ensure proper payment of cattle.
  • Respond to vendor inquiries and provide information as needed.
  • Research and resolve payment discrepancies to ensure accurate recording of cattle transactions.
  • Collaborate with the USDA to report cattle purchases, receipts, and payments to ensure compliance with Mandatory Price Reporting.
  • Assist with balancing cattle costs on a weekly and monthly basis and report to the financial team.
  • Develop and maintain procedure manuals for the cattle payable position.

Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bi-lingual skills a plus, but not required.
  • Proficient data entry skills, including 10-key.
