Accounts Payable Clerk

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable Clerk to manage data entry and ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to handle a high volume of transactions.
Key Responsibilities:- Data Entry: Accurately enter invoice data into the accounting system, ensuring all entries are complete and correct, and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Invoice Processing: Receive and review invoices for appropriate documentation and approval, code and match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents.
- Payment Processing: Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments, monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Record Maintenance: Maintain vendor files and ensure all information is up to date, keep accurate records of all transactions and ensure proper documentation.
- Communication: Liaise with vendors and internal departments to resolve invoice and payment issues, respond to inquiries regarding invoice status and payment processing.
- Reconciliation: Assist in month-end closing and reconciliation of accounts payable transactions, prepare and maintain accounts payable reports as required.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and applicable laws, assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or similar role.
- Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
- Strong data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Office environment.
- Full-time, 40 hours per week.
