The Provider Support Specialist for Customer Service plays a crucial role in assisting healthcare providers who serve our members. This position involves addressing inquiries related to benefits, eligibility, billing, clinical authorizations, and behavioral health through both phone and chat interactions.

This is a full-time role, requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Flexibility is essential, as you may need to work within our 8-hour shift schedules during standard business hours. Occasionally, overtime, weekend, or holiday work may be necessary based on business needs.

We provide comprehensive training lasting 14 weeks, conducted virtually from your home. Training hours will be from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM CST, Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as an advocate for providers, demonstrating accountability and ownership in resolving issues.
  • Assist providers in a multi-channel environment, including phone and chat communications.
  • Efficiently triage inquiries from healthcare professionals, including physician offices and clinics.
  • Identify and address provider needs, providing answers and solutions to various inquiries.
  • Investigate and resolve complex prior authorization and claim issues to prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and effective communication with providers.
  • Utilize multiple systems to extract necessary information and resolve issues across various business lines.
  • Encourage providers to use self-service digital tools for quicker resolutions.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent work experience.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience with a focus on problem-solving.
  • Proficient in computer applications, with the ability to learn new systems.
  • Typing speed of at least 90% accuracy.
  • Availability to work full-time, with flexibility for shift hours as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the healthcare sector and familiarity with healthcare terminology.
  • Background in a customer service environment utilizing phones and computers.
