Wells Fargo is seeking a Corporate Banking Associate to join its CIB Financial Institutions Group (FIG). The successful candidate will be part of a leading Financial Institutions practice, covering insurance, asset managers, market structure, and specialty finance companies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in structuring and executing transactions, and support senior staff with financial and credit analysis for assigned loans within Financial Institutions.
  • Work with senior staff to present recommendations for growing and maintaining a portfolio of profitable clients in FIG through proactive, strategic, and consistent business development and client retention.
  • Develop presentation materials for client meetings and internal discussions, and may take ownership of and lead follow-up items with a client after a call.
  • Perform or guide credit underwriting work of peers, accounting for all risk factors and providing risk rating recommendations.
  • Review and interpret credit policies and procedures, and incorporate requirements into credit analysis, observations, and lending recommendations.
  • Represent the bank in a primary capacity in developing and maintaining relationships with smaller or less complex clients.
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, internal partners, and stakeholders, including clients.
Required Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of Corporate Banking Relationship Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
Desired Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of financial services experience in portfolio management and/or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to thoroughly analyze credits on an independent basis with high attention to detail and accuracy, and communicate findings in a concise manner.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills, and an ability to effectively multi-task.
  • Motivated team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills.
  • Strong accounting knowledge.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and deliver results.
  • Experience with leading and contributing to project teams.
Job Expectations:

FINRA Series 63, 79, and the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.

Additional Compensation Details:

Base Salary - $125,000 - $135,000 USD.
