JOB SUMMARY

The Human Resources Generalist plays a crucial role in collaborating with management to effectively implement local, regional, and corporate human resources programs, initiatives, and policies to ensure fair and consistent treatment of personnel within the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable State and Federal regulations and employment laws.
  • Investigate workplace issues, including conditions, disciplinary actions, and employee appeals.
  • Provide advice and recommendations for resolving issues to department leaders and staff.
  • Oversee the performance evaluation process, collaborating with management on employee reviews and coaching, offering training and consultation as needed.
  • Assist management in developing and maintaining workforce staffing strategies.
  • Coordinate recruitment efforts to ensure the hiring of competent, diverse, and skilled employees while managing workload levels effectively.
  • Formulate and recommend objectives and goals in all areas of employee relations.
  • Develop and oversee labor relations aspects of the Human Resources program to enhance labor relations.
  • Establish and manage compensation policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Provide strategic guidance on compensation planning and administration.
  • Communicate compensation policies and programs to employees.
  • Offer guidance and recommendations for HR practices and issue resolution.
  • Direct all HR functions and policies.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
  • Preferred certifications include Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI) Professional Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR).

Experience

  • 2-5 years of experience in Human Resources, with a preference for three years in a supervisory role, or an equivalent combination of relevant training and experience.

Professional Skills

  • Strong understanding of HR laws and regulations.
  • Experience in recruiting and staffing.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and various HRIS platforms.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively interact with a diverse range of individuals at all organizational levels.
