About the Family & Social Services Administration (FSSA):
The Division of Family Resources (DFR) within FSSA is responsible for determining eligibility for various assistance programs, including Medicaid, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families. The division guarantees the timely and accurate distribution of benefits while providing employment and training services to select recipients. Compensation Overview:
The starting salary for this position typically begins at $37, with variations based on educational qualifications and work experience.
A Day in the Role:
- Evaluate and analyze eligibility recommendations and information from contracted personnel
- Determine eligibility for benefits and waiver programs in accordance with regulations
- Identify discrepancies and unreported data in data matches
- Approve referred claims and calculations
- Conduct eligibility interviews for various assistance programs
- Stay updated on changes in program rules and guidelines
