SAP EWM Consultant Job Description

D4M International is seeking experienced SAP EWM consultants to join our USA practice as full-time consultants. As a global, Digital Transformation consulting company, we provide SAP and DELMIA solutions and services to our Global Fortune 1000 clients, particularly in the Automotive and Manufacturing sectors.

We are actively seeking to hire Senior level SAP EWM consultants who can contribute to the success of client implementation and migration projects in the USA (and potentially across North America). As a member of D4M International, you would be part of an industry leading team of SAP professionals, contributing to the success of our client's digital and business transformations.

As a senior level consultant, you will lead specific SAP areas of expertise, knowing all the necessary aspects of a full cycle implementation. This includes issues such as:

  • Functional FIT and functional Blueprint.
  • The ability to prepare new enhancements and modifications to meet business requirements.
  • The ability to develop concise and detailed functional specification documents.
  • The capability to review system configuration and have a strong understanding of EMM related configurations as well as experience in data migration issues.
  • The ability to setup and test integration between EWM and ECC modules, test preparation, test scripts and testing the execution of integration with other SAP modules or third-party systems.
  • Training of key users and other end users.
  • Planning and execution for Cut-over, support Go-Live and close project items.

To be considered for this role, your background and experience should include all or most of the following:

  • A minimum 8 years of SAP experience with, at least, 5 years of experience in SAP EWM (Extended Warehouse Management).
  • Experience in automotive parts distribution business is an asset.
  • Functional EWM expertise with past experience in implementing slotting in EWM. Experience in, at least, 3 full lifecycle implementations would be ideal.
  • Experience in a S/4Hana environment is ideal.
  • Experience in the analysis of EWM & WM strategies and processes, as well the ability to work on EWM related output issues (e.g. SAPScript, SmartForms, print program) and analyze where issues come from and possible solutions, so functional specifications can be prepared for the ABAP team (technical ABAP programming skills are not required).
  • Leadership and Subject Matter expertise is needed in EWM along with extensive and in-depth skills in integration with other SAP modules (MM, PP, SD etc.).
  • Functional Leadership in an SAP project team is an asset.
  • Full leadership or potential to lead multiple members in different projects as well as Project Management experience (basic knowledge of reporting status, tracking issues and follow up for smaller projects).
  • Well developed English communication skills (written and oral).
  • A relevant Bachelors Degree and/or work experience.
