Environmental Project Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Environmental Project Manager to join our team at Jacobs. As a key member of our environmental consulting team, you will be responsible for managing and delivering environmental projects from planning to execution and closeout.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage project teams through all phases of project planning, execution, and closeout.
  • Manage multiple projects and teams in a dynamic environment to meet schedule demands.
  • Develop and implement safety plans, charters, and implementation in the field.
  • Coordinate planning, staffing, scheduling, budget management, quality control, safety, and organization of contractors, subcontractors, and internal technical and support staff.
  • Participate in project decisions regarding technical approaches, cost and scheduling performance.
  • Communicate and conflict manage with internal project teams, other contractors, and client teams.
  • Act as a prime contact with the client team and be responsible for overall work progress, technical performance, and client satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor or advanced degree in engineering, geology, hydrogeology, environmental science, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated prior experience in managing environmental projects for private or government clients with a strong track record.
  • 40 Hour HAZWOPER certification and 8-hour refreshers up to date.
  • Massachusetts LSP license preferred.
