We are primarily seeking industry professionals to impart their knowledge and experience to both undergraduate and graduate students across various disciplines. Courses are conducted once or twice weekly over an eight-week period, blending face-to-face interaction with technology, such as online discussions and assignments, to create an enriched learning environment. The commitment is on a course-by-course basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and provide students with an approved syllabus that adheres to the established template by the local campus, incorporating terminal course objectives.
• Organize, prepare, and regularly update all course materials.
• Utilize appropriate technological tools for online platforms and course-related software, including websites, email, and online discussions to prepare the course and ensure accessibility for students.
• Model effective oral and written communication that engages students, clarifies concepts, and enhances student learning.
• Set clear expectations for the course by publishing terminal objectives, assignment/examination dates, and the distribution of evaluation categories.
• Ensure that exam content and level correspond to the course terminal objectives.
• Demonstrate consistency and fairness in exam preparation and grading, providing timely feedback to students.
• Complete additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• A doctoral degree is required, along with 18 graduate hours in the subject area for undergraduate teaching.
• Credentials must be awarded by an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Administration, or by an internationally recognized institution with equivalent accreditation.
• Additional requirements driven by state licensing or accreditation considerations may apply.
• Faculty must possess requisite subject matter expertise and exceptional communication skills.
• Faculty should also demonstrate excellent motivational and instructional skills in a diverse and non-traditional environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively and facilitate the efforts of diverse groups is essential.

Compensation:

Compensation for the Adjunct Professor position is determined based on degree, credit hours taught per 8-week session, and location. Pay may vary across states, typically ranging from $1500 to $2600 per 8-week session. In certain states, compensation is provided at an hourly rate.
