Water Safety Specialist

Position Overview

In the role of Water Safety Specialist, you will be safety-focused and dedicated to exceptional customer service. You will thrive in a dynamic setting, overseeing advanced recreational and lap swimming facilities, both indoors and outdoors. Your responsibilities will include monitoring the pool area and ensuring safety on water attractions. Additionally, you will assist in organizing aquatic events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage and interact with members to enhance their experience.
  • Perform rescues for swimmers in distress and provide first aid as necessary.
  • Inform swimmers about potentially hazardous areas and activities.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in the pool vicinity to guarantee member safety.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Lifeguard and First Aid Certification required.
  • Ability to remain stationary and navigate the facility for extended periods.
  • Strong communication skills to assist guests with inquiries about Uhlife services.
  • Proficient swimming skills, including the ability to swim 300 yards/meters continuously.
  • Capability to tread water for a minimum of 1 minute.
  • Ability to retrieve a 10 lb diving brick from the pool bottom and swim it to the surface without stopping.
  • Physical ability to routinely lift over 20 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 6 months of experience in customer service.
