- Obtain Necessary Permits: Obtain necessary permits and approvals for field operations, such as excavation permits, road closures, and utility locates.
- Maintain Accurate Records: Maintain accurate records and documentation for compliance purposes.
- Update Databases and Information Systems: Maintain and update databases and information systems related to field operations, including work order management, asset management, and geographic information systems (GIS).
- Coordinate Emergency Response: Coordinate with emergency response teams, utility crews, and external agencies during emergency situations.
- Ensure Effective Communication: Ensure effective communication and resource allocation during emergency operations.
- Education and Experience: High School Diploma/GED required; education or experience with work planning, materials/supplies procurement, and/or inventory logistics preferred.
- Knowledge and Skills: Well-rounded knowledge of water utility operations maintenance, distribution, supply, and treatment work and materials used preferred; ability to read and interpret blueprints, maps, and drawings; knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing applications; knowledge of inventory system and control practices; experience with Maintenance Management System.
- Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work in a team environment; ability to work independently and without direct supervision.
