Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Reliability Team Lead to join our team at LyondellBasell. As a key member of our Reliability department, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of I&E engineers to ensure the safe execution of site reliability objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coach a team of I&E engineers to ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental protection protocols.
  • Develop and maintain site maintenance and reliability procedures and guidelines.
  • Manage performance and professional development of direct reports.
  • Assist with development of the annual Reliability budget and updates reliability long-range plans.
  • Participate in STI and Merit increase determinations for team members.
  • Ensure the Code of Conduct and all other Company policies are accurately, consistently, and fairly administered.
  • Coordinate and approve vacations and working schedules to ensure unit support requirements.
  • Assign team members to support unit roles, capital projects, maintenance projects, action items, investigations, and turn-arounds.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a minimum of six (6) years of experience in the chemical or refinery industry.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Turnaround experience and ability to work across multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Effective leadership and organization skills.
  • The ability to earn the confidence and trust of others through honesty, integrity, and authenticity.
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive and private employee information.
  • Willingness to coach, develop, and hold others accountable.
  • Commitment to health, safety, security, and environmental work processes.
  • Project and budget management experience.
Familiarity with:
  • Varieties of process equipment, including turbomachinery, pumps, steam turbines, centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, blowers, gearboxes, piping, flanges, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, motors, MCCs, transformers, transmitters, control valves, analyzers, and SIS & DCS systems.
  • Diagnostics and equipment repair.
  • Component failure analysis.
  • Business drivers, management of change requirements, reliability processes.
  • Electronic tools, such as SAP, Meridium, Bently Nevada, Documentum, CEA, AMS, SKM.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with both instrumentation and electrical equipment.
  • Experience working in the LYB Sites (LPO).
  • Familiarity with barrier failure analysis methodologies.
  • Industry codes and standards, such as ASME, API, ANSI, ISA, IEEE, NEC, NFPA, and their application.
