POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Cannabis Retail Security Officer, your role will involve:

  • Exhibiting professionalism on behalf of Hammer Head Security and our retail partners.
  • Maintaining a visible presence to deter theft and ensure a secure environment for staff and customers.
  • Understanding and enforcing store policies and procedures effectively.
  • Conducting regular patrols within the retail space and reporting any suspicious activities promptly.
  • Communicating effectively with store personnel to manage foot traffic safely.
  • Utilizing conflict resolution skills to handle difficult situations and involving management when necessary.
  • Monitoring CCTV feeds to identify potential security concerns.
  • With appropriate training, conducting controlled stops for unpaid merchandise recovery.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

LOCATIONS: Various retail sites.

SHIFTS: Day and Swing shifts; weekend availability is required.

HOURS: Full-time positions available.

REQUIRED CREDENTIALS:

  • Government-issued identification or valid California driver's license.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid California BSIS Guard Card.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be at least 21 years old to work in the Cannabis Retail Industry.
  • Reliable transportation is necessary.
  • Good physical condition is required, with the ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Additional qualifications will be discussed during the interview process.
  • Successful completion of a background check and drug/alcohol test is a condition of employment.
  • Maintaining current active status of all required licenses while on duty is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 3 years of security experience, including at least 1 year in a dispensary setting, is required.
