Job Overview and Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of the Captain, AI, the Office Technician is expected to demonstrate a high level of awareness regarding the implications of inaccuracies in both verbal and written communications. This role encompasses a variety of clerical responsibilities, including but not limited to, drafting correspondence, memoranda, reports, staff transfer documentation, operational protocols, and post orders. The individual will also assist in monitoring staff evaluations, tracking TIC dates, managing inmate appeals, and overseeing institutional security operations along with other custody and program-related activities.
Candidates eligible for a Training and Development assignment may also be considered for this position.

Special Qualifications
The position requires the ability to type at a minimum speed as specified in the Class Specifications. A valid typing certificate confirming your capability to meet the minimum typing speed must be obtained prior to employment. Background Investigation
Candidates new to the organization are required to undergo a background investigation process that includes Live Scan fingerprinting and Tuberculosis testing prior to appointment, followed by annual Tuberculosis testing/evaluation thereafter.
