Role Overview:
We are in search of a Lead Senior Structural Design Engineer to join our team focused on the New Glenn Second Stage Tanks projects. This position plays a pivotal role in advancing our engineering initiatives and enhancing our capabilities in space.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the structural design and configuration of propellant tanks and internal structures.
- Conduct detailed design, analysis, and testing of structures exposed to cryogenic conditions.
- Create 3D models, detailed drawings, and documentation to meet both internal and external specifications.
- Collaborate across various business units to ensure project deliverables are met.
- Act as a liaison with internal and external partners, managing supplier relationships and coordinating with supply chain teams.
- Develop presentations and reports for executive review and internal meetings.
- Monitor project performance metrics related to schedule, resources, and technical achievements.
- Participate in subsystem testing and analysis.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
- Offer on-site manufacturing support as required.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, mechanical, or systems engineering with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
- U.S. citizenship or lawful residency is required.
- Proven leadership experience in aerospace development, particularly in lifecycle management of aerospace systems.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with a track record of effective decision-making.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and travel as necessary.
- Experience in structural design, material selection, and manufacturing processes is essential.

Preferred Skills:
- Excellent communication abilities to foster consensus among stakeholders.
- Familiarity with rapid development techniques and welding processes.
- Proficiency in industry-standard analysis software.
