About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Finance Director to join our team at Ordergroove. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing comprehensive financial plans, models, forecasts, and budgets aligned with our strategic goals.

As a strategic partner to our leadership team, you will champion and lead our transition to next-gen reporting and analysis capabilities, including Power BI, AI, data warehouse, visualization, and dashboarding. You will spearhead the annual short-term and long-term budgeting process, collaborating with department heads to establish realistic financial targets and foster a culture of accountability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans, forecasts, and budgets aligned with strategic goals.
  • Champion the Company's transition to next-gen reporting and analysis capabilities.
  • Spearhead the annual short-term and long-term budgeting process, collaborating with department heads to establish realistic and achievable financial targets.
  • Construct dynamic financial models that unlock valuable financial insights for leadership decision-making.
  • Lead the monthly close and reporting cadence, ensuring timely, accurate, and insightful financial reporting.
  • Conduct regular variance analysis, diagnosing and explaining deviations from plan to drive course correction and continuous improvement.
  • Prepare compelling monthly and quarterly financial packages for management, the Board of Directors, and key investors, including financial and business analysis to inform strategic discussions.
  • Bridge the gap between finance and operations, translating financial and operational data into actionable insights to support strategic decision-making across the organization.

About You:

  • Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in a finance leadership role, preferably within a high-growth SaaS business.
  • Expertise in budgeting, financial modeling, and forecasting with advanced Excel skills.
  • Expertise using and experience implementing Power BI or similar financial planning, analysis, and visualization tools.
  • Proven track record of success in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
  • Deep understanding of corporate finance principles and the ability to conduct scenario and sensitivity analysis to navigate uncertainty.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy, coupled with a strong analytical mind.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Possesses a strong desire to be a strategic partner, proactively identifying opportunities to improve the business and drive positive financial outcomes.

The total compensation for this role starts at $160,000.
