Strategic Finance Associate

About the Role:

City Hive is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Strategic Finance Associate to join our Finance team. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with the Director of Strategy and Finance to support internal and external finance functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support financial planning, budgeting, due diligence, and forecasting processes in collaboration with stakeholders across the organization
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and identify business opportunities
  • Develop and maintain financial and business models for various business scenarios
  • Drive strategic initiatives from opportunity evaluation through implementation, working cross-functionally to determine requirements and KPIs
  • Prepare and present clear and concise presentations, reports, and metrics for various stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards, particularly in regards to payment processing
  • Evaluate market and industry trends and provide recommendations in alignment with findings

Requirements:

  • Degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • 4+ years experience in an FP&A, Strategic Finance, or consulting role (or similar)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with a passion for problem solving and heightened attention to detail
  • High proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets with ability to analyze large sets of data
  • Collaborative mindset with a willingness to learn and contribute to team goals
